“I’m a left-handed introvert.”
Those five words are probably the best used to describe me.
Being left-handed is just cool so I have to make sure to mention it.
The introvert part is also important, because it’s probably the entire reason for why I even blog.
It didn’t take me long to realize that my poor writing skills exceeded my conversational abilities. My words are simply expressed much better in written rather than verbal form. But after reading anything I write, you can only imagine how “socially suave” I am in person…
I love my job of construction management in San Francisco. I sit in the basement of a Fortune 200 company’s headquarters and do everything from the small TI projects to the huge infrastructure projects outside of my basement dwellings.
Other than my job, going to college takes up most of my time. Steadily, but mostly slowly, I am plodding my way towards a construction management degree. I’finished up my general eds at Riverside City College and now I am studying at Colorado State University _ Pueblo.
Then there are my three hobbies.
I am a book addict which means I will read and read and read. One side-effect of my reading addiction is that I love collecting old books. You know, pretty much any interesting book that is 100+ years-old. My bookcases are somewhat overflowing with books, but it looks really classy – I promise.
The second hobby is my love for exploring my new home of San Francisco and finding places that amuse, enchant, and transport me.
The third hobby is still developing. Because I am quite intent on climbing the corporate ladder, I am aware that my non-existent golf skills will need some work. Right now, I am still working on my (hacking) skills at the range. Hopefully soon, I’ll be decent enough to play some rounds. But the practice to become decent takes time, which I have little of.
Finally, but perhaps most importantly, I have some really great friends. As an introvert, I don’t have huge social circles, but the few that I do have consist of some amazing people. From random late night outings for pizza and wine to days when we just hang out and harass each other, it’s always a good time.
This blog is all about sharing my (we’ll call it “off-beat”) perspective on life.
I’m different, and I don’t care. Instead, I take some pride in knowing that no one like me exists anywhere else. And once you get to know me, you will probably thank your lucky stars that there’s only one of me.
